Golddigga
Can somebody tell me when the regular meetings at Bluewater/Southend or near this area are please? I have looked through some of the old event threads but can't work out if the bluewater meet went ahead for example. Please give us a clue as I would like to meet we with some fellow Soop owners. Thanks.

Golddigga
Is it worth somebody from the forum contacting the bluewater management? I understand that there have been problems in the past?
DamanC
I too have heard that. In that case, i dont want to be part of it. It could have a detrimental effect on the clubs reputation.
TheChin
There has only been problems due to an essex car club burning out round the carparks. If we do the respectable thing and give them a ring proposing our intentions, if they do say no atleast we have given them a call to check. I can ring them later if needed, as they are quite close to me. Cheers
supra_surj
Ive spoken to their security in the past. they say they dont mind as long as we are just parked up and not driving around like idiots. could find out again if you want?
supra_surj
You beat me to it. lol
DamanC
If you guys want to give it a try then feel free. I am very much so against the idea of giving the club a bad name, so if you think something can be done without neds turning up then go ahead
monkey76364
If you go there and go in to get a drink ect, they cant say a word as your "shopping"... its only the chavs driving like dicks they dont like

TheChin
We should only turn up if we have the permission. I shall give them a ring in a bit and see what they're saying.
MrAngry
I'd be up for coming along to the Bluewater meets again. It's a couple of years since I was there. I stopped going when the chavs started arriving
TheChin
Spoke to Bluewater Customer Services today. I basically told them about the club, that it's a car specific club made up over quite a number of members and that the south east division is looking for a meeting place once or twice a month. I informed them that this is a performance club with a number of fast and expensive cars and that the normal nova and corsa rubbish will not be allowed at our meets. They were saying about the times in which we would have our meets, i informed them saying that most of the members are above the age of 20 and with full time jobs it will be after the rush-hour which for bluewater is the busiest time. He then added that Bluewater could not support the whole club, which i replied would be only a small group ( i dunno the size of the SE division.) For security purposes i informed them that each member should have a membership card confirming them of MKIV supra owners club and if any problem persists that they should contact the regional organiser with the problem starters. They are going to be giving me a call back later tonight or tommorow. I think from one of the big-wigs in Bluewater and hopefully i can argue our case a bit further. He seemed quite impressed that we had bothered to ring them up, instead of just turning up and making a racket. I dunno whether there will be noise requirements, but a meet is a meet not a rally. Hope this helps anyone and i will update as soon as i know. Cheers

TheChin
Yeah if you would be so kind. Yeah the membership cards would be a way of identifying those that actually have the right to be there.
