edge
Had a long drive about earlier. Got caught in some slow moving saturday traffic for about half hour or so. Headed back home and got onto the motorway slip and floored it and it was very hesitant/missing after the tubbie No2 came in. So i eased off and cruised along for about ten mins or so til my exit came up. Joined the dual carrigaway and engaged the loud pedal and it was still doing it but not as bad so slowed againg for a few mins then tried again and its was perfect again. Is this the sign of my ignition coil thingys goin poop as i read something before about these cracking? If so is it an easy repair/replacement? I know its not the plugs or shouldnt be as they have only done about 1000 miles and its not fuel cut as no lights came up and it wasnt as harsh when the fuel cut strikes. Any ideas? Fifty
did it create any error codes any lights come on on rh top panel you can check for these easily; do could be coil pack clips since you say plugs are new; if you didnt fit them my guess is someone put back worn clips. Fifty
Nah no lights cam on at all. I will have a look at the clips. where do i check to see if there are any cracks ? ther clips usually go brittle and fall to bits; the white inserts fall out; just be careful if you dont have new ones youll be screwed. there is an excellent guide on site somewhere. merckx
I know its not the plugs or shouldnt be as they have only done about 1000 miles If your plugs aren't the correct ones it will make the car hessitant and misfire. If you've got a full decat you have to upgrade the plugs to colder ones.

merckx
The plugs where fitted by paul whiffin and the ful decat done by him to so im quite sure there be correct Still worth checking though , he could've made a mistake. I had these exact symptoms when I went BPU , colder plugs fixed it. Just like Fifty says, the coil pack clips could be at fault especially if they've just been disturbed when the new plugs were fitted.

Paul Whiffin
Hello mate, I would have put NGK iridiums in there if I changed them,(cant remember I do so many!). I normally check them first and if required change them. The clips themselves might be the culprits though, I stock them here, £3.50 each + VAT.
