Muffleman
Sorry to hear this mate, I have come outside first thing to find one of mine on the road - totally unmarked but no longer with us
johnnyknox
Sorry to hear this Michael. To be honest I was never a fan of cats until my brother moved to Australia and we inherited Mabel. She is a big fat black lump and I have grown to lover her very much. She follows me around like a dog and just sits outside and watches me wash the Supra. Like you say...they become a member of the family... all the best mate Stef
Supragal
Very sorry to hear this. At least you found him though so you are not always wondering where he got to.
JustGav
Not good to hear chap, we were lucky, after a hit and run the cat legged but came back VERY battered 4 days later and cost us £800, but managed to save the leg... One cat just disappeared and she has never been seen since. On a slightly more morbid but funnier note, a friend of mine hit a cat crossing the road... Put it in the garage and spent 3 days trying to find the owner.. When they finally found the owner, the cat was somewhat stiff and wouldn't go in the box, so they walked up to the door with cat under the arm... Feel for you with your cat in all seriousness. kslb
Why is it that if you hit a dog you are required by law to report it but not if you hit a cat??? Makes no sense. Sympathy...
SupraStar 3000
Why is it that if you hit a dog you are required by law to report it but not if you hit a cat??? Makes no sense. Sympathy... this country is animal-ist

Jake
Why is it that if you hit a dog you are required by law to report it but not if you hit a cat??? Makes no sense. I don't think you are required to report hitting a dog any more. Not since the dog license was abolished, iirc.
Chris and Alana
Just read this and I’m really sorry, Iv had 5 cats and 3 of them got ran over, 1 disappeared and the other died of old age but not after the next door neighbour shot it with an air rifle twice (scum bag) I still live with my parents and they wont have another cat because its very upsetting when they die, especially when its before their time. Anyway, I know how you feel and it’s not very nice, all the best fella.
