jamesmark
Been looking on Youtube, Just getting into UFC when I can and had a look at some poeple of old that were in the UFC and always liked them Ken Shamrock and Dan "The Beast" Severn of what I know of him (not very much) I like his style. Don't strike me down too hard as I only get to see it when Sarah is not here lol, and do not know who is hot at the moment.
Jake
I've never heard of Severn but then I've only followed UFC for the last year or so. My favourite UFC fighters to see are Randy Couture, Matt Hughes, Michael Bisping and Chuck Liddell. I take it you saw Sylvia vs Couture the other day? Awesome! OT: Has Sarah entering for the X-Factor yet?
jamesmark
Has Sarah entering for the X-Factor yet? I have the application form on the laptop so it is getting filled in before the cut off, so yes she will be going for it. I am going to be getting her a website soon too, but waiting to see what the smoking ban does to her gigs. Cheers for asking Jake
jamesmark
As for the other Dan is an old timer but I like his style back to basics, it's a good few years since he has been in it I believe.
Jake
Let us know when you're going for her audition. It'd be great if she got on TV even if she doesn't get through. (Sorry for the hi-jack)

Jake
It must be so frustrating if you're one of the 90+% that never even gets to perform for Cowell etc and get weeded out in the pre-audition auditions. ...and then some muppet gets through because it makes 'funny' television and people can laugh at them. I imagine for serious singers like your Sarah that must be really maddening.
jamesmark
I imagine for serious singers like your Sarah that must be really maddening. It is bad that shows like the X-Factor go on about raw talent but they put misfits in front of the TV only because they have to boost ratings. A talent show that has a main focus (in the early stages) on the terrible singers rather than the talent. We can only wait and see, Sarah enjoys what she does just now and thats the main thing a lot of these people go into it with high expectations, but if and I mean IF she gets to the TV stages then she will try her best she has always said she has a home right here with me and her dad and she enjoys her gigs. Sarah is a very strong minded person as years ago she won a national competition were she got from 75k down to the last 5 (appx 6 years ago before pop idol) but she walked after the "You wear what we tell you and sing how we tell you" started plus back then if she wanted lighting effects and dancers then she had to pay for it. Jake
I don't understand; she won it but she walked out when in the last 5? That's not winning, is it? When are the X-Factor auditions? Which one will you go to?
Tannhauser
I always liked Severn. Very strong guy, even if he does look like a 260lb Freddie Mercury. But my walking nightmare is Wanderlei Silva: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MlWPUEEwOY8&mode=related&search= Terrifying.
Jake
'scuse me Cliff, would you mind putting "OT" if your post isn't about the X-Factor?

She had success in that competition and got down to the last 5, she has won quite a few regional competitions too, lol when I first met her it was like getting a slide show from someone like Ned Flanders on all her achievements in the music world but now I am really into it. I think he could win it if he could get Cowell's support with his highly aggressive style, devastating knees and excellent vocal range.
jamesmark
my walking nightmare is Wanderlei Silva: Terrifying. Agreed, Good grief! That's what I was talking about. I think he could win it if he could get Cowell's support with his highly aggressive style, devastating knees and excellent vocal range. I am sure he could get away with "Sweet Caroline"

Didn't he (WS) get his arse handed to him by that 'Cro Cop' guy in the first round of his last fight?

I wouldn't face him if I had body armour on and a hammer in each hand.
