miko_supra
Right i'm currently insured with sky on my n/a supra, and i was looking to stay with them on my policy renewal and swap it over shortly to a Uk tt. As we all know the uk car is cheaper to insure, i found out on elephant that i can get insured for £500 cheaper on the uk spec over my import n/a. So i called sky and asked them what sort of qoute they could give me, and the lady said it would be about £2000 more! has she put the details for an import by mistake (i kept asking if this was what she had done) or are sky not that great for uk cars? Class One
Speak with Graham or Jae, they are the official contacts that the club has for Sky. The rest of them appear not to know their arse from their elbow to be trainees or not to have specialist knowledge of Supes.
miko_supra
yeah i thought this, spoke to Jae last year (really helpful) but she was the only one available. I want to stay with sky as they are the only guys that will insure me decently on the n/a. my renewal is up now and i will be getting the uk tt soon after. i just hope they don't screw me over when changing my policy half way though. The girl was on about having to start up an entirely knew policy for the TT, which will mean no claims and money losses!
lockys96
it shouldnt be that much, look at my car. its just over 1k
Branners
my single turbo UK spec gets a good insurance quote from Sky, so its not UK specs thats the problem. But do talk to Jae. JB

Henk
Do remember though, it more than just Premium that matters: Agreed Value? Like for Like swaps? Excesses? I KNOW Admiral does not do this! (which is why I went with Sky)
miko_supra
yeah currently trying to sort it out with sky. although the losses are huge on swapping the policy over
steb9780
I found that I got quite a high price with Sky at first, when getting a general feel, of how much the insurance would be. I gave them no details of reg. spec. etc. But as soon as I rang back with all the details of the car I intended to buy the quote was much better then.
