kslb
Many years ago when my father was dropping me and my sister off at school my sister who was on the pavement side of the back seat opened the door and some lazy cyclist who couldn't be bothered going around the car and hopped up on the pavement ended up on the back seat with us......... It was a middle aged guy in lycra, I have never laughed so much as i watched him limp away with his bike, that appeared to have a folded front wheel......lol Dad was a bit upset as the back door on his new cavalier wouldn't shut.... AndrewOW
Well I can say I had a real close shave this morning on my way to work. I'm not jumping on the bandwagon about women drivers, but its relevant Ark's to comments. I was quite happily crossing some junctions driving along some regular roads following a woman in a Golf with my side lights on and leaving some decent distance between us. We both indicated to turn left into a T-junction and I followed shortly behind keeping the flow of traffic moving, about 20mph. Her left indicator was still on and pulled over as tho she was slowing to a stop just along the entrance to the road. I moved to overtake, and in an instant, without looking or indicating she does a U-turn right in front of me! I slam the anchors on and swerve to match her turn, ABS comes on and I manage to stop just alongside her. The look on her face was absolute shock and then she just smiled as tho it wasn't anything. Nightmare Luckily there was no damage, but I trust my J-spec brakes more than I had before! Just keep your distance at all times. You can't trust anyone!
