JamesG
One of my front tyres goes flat after about 3 days. I had a couple of new front tyres last week but the problem didn't go away, so I assume the valve is at fault. I phoned up the tyre place today and they said they might have trouble replacing them as my valves have a right angle in. Are these particularly unusual? It sounds like they are fobbing me off, but it's consistent with what I've heard from tyre places in the past. They are going to take a look on Saturday morning anyway. Just wondered if anyone here has had this problem?
Ric
Make sure your wheels arnt actually cracked, i had this, air leaking or going flat, turned out the inner edge of the alloy had a hairline crack in
Rayman
One of my valves failed but ive never heard of a right angled valve. I now have one of those rubber ones on, its actually more practical just looks tat. Id just have some new valves fitted, could be they are trying to fob you off as its a lot of work for something as small as a valve. Plus no money in it for them! Fitz
One of my front tyres goes flat after about 3 days. I had a couple of new front tyres last week but the problem didn't go away, so I assume the valve is at fault....Just wondered if anyone here has had this problem? I Have the same problem, tyre goes down to about 10-13psi after three days of being pumped up, I changed the tyre on the car as it needed doing anyway and asked the guy to check the wheel for cracks, fine it seemed until 3 days later when it went down again? Went back to Slow-Fit to ask what is wrong couldn't find anything wrong no cracks or punctures. The guy said it could be the valve (which is what i thought), but was hard to tell as it doesn't have the same amount of pressure on the wheel as it's off the car. I also have angled Valve tyres on (I didn't buy them they came on the car). What they have recommended though is to buy Truck Valves as those are along the same line, i.e. angled. But not sure if anyone else has had this problem as angled valves seem rather uncommon. Swampy442
I had that once, turned out the valve body thing was bolted to the rim itself using a lock nut, once that was tightened no more leaks
georigg
This may help you.......on motorcycles it is difficult getting a tyre inflator on to the valve which tends to stick "straight up". Have a look on M&P motorcycle spares.....they do a right angle adaptor for motorcycles......just fit a standard wheel valve, short/stubby pattern and buy a right angle adaptor which fits directly on the the "short valve" just like a valve cap............this will allow you to attach an inflator easily to each valve in turn, and when finished blowing up the tyres, you remove the right angle adaptor and replace it with a normal valve cap. This also has the beauty of not having large valves sticking up out of the wheel rim which can look unsightly etc. Rgds George

Just wondered if anyone here has had this problem? The angled valves are unusual and not many tyre shops can supply them, they normally leak when the rubber seal perishes. I will be adding them to my online shop soon. It's possible you may have a bead leak, get them to clean and seal the rim with beadsealer.
