wow pretty good figures there, my rx7 reads the other way shows 1.3 on gauge and its actualy 1 bar on apexi power fc.... to be honest them figures at 1 bar are very impressive

Yea there pretty good figures dude, still dunno where the 0.2 bar went?? Prob went home as the engine was getting abused that day, haha.

Need to look into why i aint getting the extra 0.2 bar?? Any idea's??

Get your AFR'S checked out as well. Mine was running an FCON and was running so rich it was unbelievable. Next time you are on a dyno get your AFR's checked or fit a wideband. Its the easiest way you'll know if its fuelling right. If you have deep pockets take it to a HKS authorised tuner and they'll rob you blind for a prognosis :D Hence why I now have an AEM

Looks like the one I had on with a faulty mapping that pretty much blew the car up - faulty injector anyway.

WTF!!!???

How can you blame the Fcon for a faulty injector??

Geo,

I'd get the car rolling road tested and then decide what to do - I assume you've not noticed anything bad in the way the car runs...as else you would have said.

Geo's car was rolling roaded a couple of weeks ago at Dastek and I checked his fuelling graph - was pretty normal with no lean spots and high 10:1 range iirc when on 2nd turbo higher in the rev range.

If you see 1.2 bar on the road and only see 1 bar on Dastek's rollers that means the ramp rate of their rollers (that is, the braking force being applied) on the day was putting less load on the engine than driving along a flat bit of tarmac does. It's common to see more or less boost on a rolling road depending on how much braking force they apply when doing a power run.

Cheers,

Brian.

As Brian has said, the car was tested. And we found no fueling problems, so the car is running fine as far as i know. No problems as yet, touch wood.

But for some reason when i check out what some guys get with a basic setup, it just seems they are producing more power and torque with normal twins and BPU.

I'd like to know too Alex. The previous owner mentioned that the F-Con was setup/mapped poorly and the changes to the fuelling caused one of the injectors to fail and fried piston number 5. It needed a new engine. Hence, I got rid of it as soon as I found it.

Don't know how true this is, and thb, I reall don't give a shit. Just prefer to be safe in the knowledge that I don't have any system fudgers in place. :)

An injector can't fail because of the ECU...but it can because of the wiring/physical fuel going through it.

I'd suggest the real issue was one of these and nothing to do with the Fcon itself...

Ah well, thanks Alex. Either way, I heard they were a right PITA to map and finding a specialist is a rarity so glad its gone now.

i wouldnt belive all the bhp figures qoated from others yours sounds right and safe too ;)

Ok guys its an FconS, and it looks like its piggy backed onto the ECU.

You can see from the pic, that iv got a red and green light on, any idea's of whats going on here, i had the car idleing.

I certainly wouldn't worry George - your car is making decent power for the boost level so the fuelling and timing is well enough optimised and more importantly it's safe. Whoever mapped your FCON S did a decent job.

Cheers,

Brian.

Cheers mate.

I had a read up of the Unit, its pre programmed to it's a case of plug and play. And the rest is up to the box by the looks of things.
