Not true mate, I had this argument with Paul the other day, he even showed me the mechanic sheets that he uses, and it seems that its only the TT engines that are a non interface block, NA's are. Think it has something to do with different compression between the NA's and TT's that makes one a interface and one a non interface.

well you believe what you want mate! this thread seems to prove otherwise, unless the guys engine was shafted but he chose to say it was ok?

i'm not about to suggest we all go cutting are cambelts to prove a point but the actual breaking of a cambelt and someones post detailing the resulting repair is more compelling than someones 'say so' IMO............

I see your point mate, but what I was saying comes from a central mechanics database thing, that most/all garages use, they get all technical data off it, like litres of oil used, spark, cam duration, and all sorts of other crap.......but I will point this out to the man.........

Although I wouldnt take what the chap in the other thread says as proof, it doesnt say why he was ok, he mentioned something about his cam belt not being the correct tension, that might have something to do with it................

225bhp, you get 5bhp more from the VVTI on n/a's

I'd be interested to see if it is a vvti, just need too see a pic of the engine!

I think that car has been on sale now for ages. If it is the one I think it is - I first saw it on the Autotrader website back in February - when I was looking for my Supe.

What turned me off it was the colour - wasn't keen on the shade of yellow.

£14K he wants for it ?? Hmmm - I'd start at £11K and go no higher than £12.5K.

Yep been on autotrader for months! probably would have gone had it been a manual.
