Pig
I seem to be spotting lots of supra's with TRD engine mounts. Is this something i need to consider and why?
dini_the_owl
I think it was a design issue, the older rounder design was prone to taking heat and causing the internals to go brittle,On some aristos and supras they changed them to a higher design with a different angle on the bottom.i took my passenger side one off (rounder)and it was clunking because of the same reason.another set i have dont say trd on them but look exactly the same but as i understand are stock ones. Guest ridox
my stock mounts are shot. so i ordered trd mounts from mvp should be getting them soon. basicly their just stiffer and gives you a more direct feel with the engine and prevents the engine from moving alot ie. people with a big single. or someone that drifts. JamieP
I need a set of trd engine mounts asap, when leaving TF a few days back Ian comented that he could see my ic twist under hard load, which makes me think my engine moving will be causing it to do that. Pig
Are they expensive to get fitted? If not i may join you on the purchase if thats ok!

How is your IC mounted? Do you still have the crash bar in place with your aftermarket bumper?
pistonbroke
I think the stock ones you get from toyota have TRD on them, I heard the part has been modified from original due to weakness. Should'nt be too expensive to fix. You may as well go for an oil and filter change at the same time as the filter has to come off to get the N/S mount off. dini_the_owl
you have to make sure you get the arms coming from the block as these are smaller due to the mount being larger and they have a slight difference in angle aswell.
Homer
Nic is probably your best bet for these (price and advice wise). The stock engines on the older models do seem to move around a fair bit when under extreme pressure, as mentioned by Jamie, it's causing the IC pipework to twist on mine a little. They are far from cheap though!!
