Charlotte
i agree what a load of crap. how many people are stabbed each year with kitchen knives compared to collectors swords should we ban kitchen knives too? I always say that when I randomly stumble over the carving knife in the block. That shouldn't be there, more people die from it than any other thing. I think they have tried to do any with it though. grahamc
you might as well ban kitchen knives then, because they're used in attacks much more often than samurai swords...back to plastic knives and forks we go... Can still hurt yourself with the plastic ones... there go them! use your fingers!! At the end of the day, I have not been practising martial arts or part of a martial arts club since I got to the UK. I have many items in my house, that might be considered an offensive weapon... half od the weapons in martial arts systems are there because they around in everyday life. Sticks, knives, throwing items, rope, chain, etc.

ivan
I've got a genuine WW2 Japanese soldiers sword hung on my wall. I didn't even know it was legal now but it didn't stop me hanging it up. Sentimental reasons - it was robbed off a POW by Lin's Dad and he gave it to me before he died.

Shinmyo Ken Iaido They are BKA (British Kendo Association) affiliated so you are getting the real deal with insurance, health and safety etc.
