paul mac
got mine from MVP, i bought a secondhand box off supra forums for $250 and had the guy ship to boostlogic it all took about a month and was still cheaper than getting one from a UK dealer allthough i notice vortex are pretty competative now but you can spend a life time trying to pin them down through a lack of phone number
michael
He won't split the 'box and engine but it doesn't seem to be getting much interest, obviously you'd need to spend more on Supra specific stuff for the TH400 and it wouldn't help with daily driving but it's cheap: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230098065158
MONKEYmark
Yeah it's a great box, BL have done numerous 7-8sec passes with one...it's a good box, you've nothing to fear by getting one. Terry S is the man for BL kit. kean has not run a 7 or 8 second pass on a built toyota auto box.them times were on a built th400 some times off the bl site Boost Logic Customer Drag Racing Times. MONKEYmark
has any of you driven a th400 or you just going on what you have read on internet.only person i know is migster he had his in for 800 miles.for the price i got off mig it was not much difference between th400 auto & a built toyota auto.the th400 can handle plenty of power and can launch hard.may not be best box for street may drive fine.think its a question of heat. when i was looking to buy a torque convertor was advised not to go over a 3200 or it would be crap on street.since tried a 3600 and 4000 and no problems what so ever i thought on street. same with cams was advised to go with 256 ended up going with 264/264 they were fine too. sometimes you got to try things for yourself.if they dont work out at least you have tried yourself. th400 parts are cheap to buy too. robbie seems to be a good advert for the bl built auto and gamer not had luck with it. pity mig not around for his input
