tooquicktostop
I think Gamer broke his and would not use it again, he went manual
Gruggs
There is a limit to what they will handle though. You need to speak to boost logic about that and what turbo you are using etc and they will advise if it will hold the power etc. There was a problem before with the front clutch piston going but that has now been fixed. Yeah it's a great box, BL have done numerous 7-8sec passes with one...it's a good box, you've nothing to fear by getting one. Terry S is the man for BL kit. Gruggs
Either that or just order direct from BL. Or try the boys at RA-performance to see if they can do it. G
terribleturner
Called them yesterday say it will handle 850 rwhp aslong as its taken care of not ragged through gears launched properly etc That's intresting because when i was reading up on if the BL or SP box was better they both wouldn't give a figure of what it would hold. Seems the boxes can hold great power, but can also break on low power too. I belive it's better odd's that they WILL hold the power, but it's a gamble. michael
I was looking at the SP Stage 3 not too long ago, I was impressed by their willingness to actually say what was changed rather than just saying "look, it's better, give us money"... http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=291468 I'm sure the BL is spot on and people seem to have great success with it, it really seems like you have to pamper the modded standard stuff though once the power levels go up, they might be OK for some hard runs on the strip but has anyone used one on in anger on track? I don't really want to go manual, the TH400 isn't very good on a road car apparently and the uprated standard ones are prone to random failure... tricky isn't it. Gruggs
I was told around the 750 mark if i remember correctly. I'm going to be running a BL67 so was told that it would hold that no bother. G

Gruggs
Thats what put me off the TH400 as i coudn't justify sacrificing everything totally for the strip. The TH400 is ideal for the strip and will be spot on. However, not so sure on its drivability round town. G
terribleturner
I posed the TH400 on the street question on SF and there are a few cars over in the US that run it fine. You just need to get used to the high pitch reving while cruising.
Robbie
The gear vendors OD unit for a th400 is an option.
Gruggs
an expensive option though...i looked at it when i thought about buying migster's box but just couldnt justify the additional price to split the gears to make it driveable. G
