shimmydude
I have been searching around the forum a bit for a guide as to how to remove the whole dashboard, as in elephant skin top peice as well but cannot seem to find anything (plenty of how to remove the plastic dash pannels that make up the main console) but not the whole thing.. Does anyone know how this is done i.e. where various screws are and if there is anything to unclip that isnt nessasarily easy to spot. Any help would be great Hope someone can help!! PS if there is a guide that i have somewhere missed i appologise for posting a repeat.

maxaerott
if you look around the sides there will be a few bolts holding the main dash to the firewall. have a tug at the dash and you will be able to feel and see where the dash is bolted.I know its a bit vauge but ive had mine out a few times just be patient so not to snap anything. hope this helps:)
shimmydude
Thanks mate, sounds like a plan. When you removed yours did yo remove anything else from the main part of the dash first, like the glovebox etc. Mine has all the palstic dash out of it at the moment. (just thinking if there are any bolts "inside" the dash so to speak) Appreciate your input
maxaerott
you need to take both glove boxs out. next to the top one theres a little plastic cover to the side pop that out and theres a bolt hidden behind it these are the bolts which hold the dash in place. Taking it out to get to radio(band expander) and the speedo(mph fascia). Nowt wrong with the heater, it goes red hot no problem plus its a lot more work than just removing the front of dash isnt it, heater matrix? Inferno
If you haven't done it yet, can you please do a how-to write up with photos for the rest of the Members? It would be a nice addition to the rest of the how-to documents accumulated here.

Ric
so you mean the center console then, not the "entire dash" yawn.
Rayman
Well center console around gearstick and then dash where the clocks are. Yeh the initial stages of dash removal, no deeper than that.
Gord R
Initial stages of the dash removal - glove boxes , centre console , gear stick surround and clock surround are fairly simple bud - you shouldnt have too many probs - just a bit fidly with the all the plugs behind the main panel
