Lewis
I have an outside tap which I use for watering the garden etc. It's currently fed from the cold water inlet for the washing machine (weird!). It is pretty lower pressure anyway and this is made worse when the washing machine is on. Is there anything I can do to increase the pressure? What sort of money would I be looking at to have it routed off another pipe? If there is anyone in the newbury area who is qualified and is happy to look at it, I would very much appreciate it.....my poor jetwash doesn't like spluttering. Rob
Where is your kitchen sink, in relation to your back garden?
lui
Sounds like you got a cold feed from the tank there mate need to pick up supply from the cold water mains. Best bet is to pick up supply from cold supply to kitchen sink that will be on mains pressure.
merckx
Some washing machines cannot handle full mains pressure and require a pressure reducing valve to be fitted, this could be responsible for your low pressure or an isolation tap might not be turned fully on. It depends where your outside tap is plumbed in though. It would be difficult to give an estimate of the cost as it all depends on the location of your mains cold water supply and the position of your outside tap. Save some money and do it yourself, it's easy.
Paul
Is it connected using one of those outside tap kits? I had one of these for a while and ended up plumbing in properly as they only cut a small hole, about 8mm rather than the full bore of 15mm.
