Not at all Ian, not at all.

Im aware its not as simple as the car or bike tests i have done, but ill be ok with the paperwork and theory side to it, i think i just need to give it a blast :)

Good stuff go for it then Rob ......and good luck ;)

as for the F1 HGV drivers i think you have to have a shed load of experience with all that expensive gear they are hauling around ....looks a good life tho for the single guy mmmmmm all them pit board girlies :innocent:

Cheers

Dont do it Rob.

I've been a truck driver for nearly 15 years and honestly, its a dismal job. The hours are long, there is a huge ammount of pressure and the cost of getting your license is prohibitive. Its unlikley you'll get a firm to pay for your training as there are so many qualified eastern european drivers coming in these days.

It was for an F3 team that my mate works for. They race at all the F1 races though.

I was chatting to him a year or so ago about career options, and he said that if i got my licence his team would most likely take me on. As for needing experience, doesn't having a licence prove that you have this.

You'd probably have to go live in Banbury though. that's where most of the teams are based.

And another thing, you don't set off on your own!! You get to go in a big ow Caaan-voyyy. Just like The Duck. And you'll have other team members with you to save the team costs by flying everyone.

Sounds like a right old Jolly out with your mates.

Like some others have said, bollocks to shuffling up the m6 day in day out. But look at other options. :)
