Geo
So i had my brakes looked at today, and we've found that my back right caliper is sticking. Time 2 upgrade to UK's. Now am i right in saying that the back and front brakes are 2pot? Im looking to get some UK calipers, with some new pads. Will these be ok with the normal Jap disks?? And does anyone have them in stock. Thanks

Rayman
Fronts are 4 pot and rear 2 pot, Uk disks are different sizes afaik, also be careful that your wheels will go back on afterwards over the Uk's, have i read it right your going for the whole lot in Uk's or just the rears? Was looking to go for UK all round, but if i can find a rear caliper somewhere might just use that for the mo, and buy some CW pads.

Yeh might be best bet as ive got a feeling your 17s wont go over the front uks. Is the caliper seized up, i had one of these on my old car and they just took it apart and re-greased it. Dont wana be rolling into an old dear, at 20mph. haha. Any ideas who might have a back right caliper for sale??

Nic
You'll upset the brake balance with the larger 2 pots on the rear and the smaller 2 pots on the front. Toyota do an overhaul kit for the calipers, which includes all new seals, or I'm sure you'll be able to find some second hand 1 pot rears cheap to replace them with. I have new 4 pot fronts in stock and can also supply new 2 pot rears, but would need to order the rears. garethr
It may be the sliders which are sticking, rather than the piston.
mwilkinson
The sliders stuck on my front calipers and FUBAR'd them, although everyone kept telling me it was the piston!!. Now waiting on some replacements. I don't think from what I have read that there is much point refurbing a caliper as if they have gone wrong once, then they will go again quite quickly!!! Having said that it all depends on what the problem is in the frst place.
