dangerous brain
I am having a problem with my HID lights on my aristo. The nearside one sometimes won't switch on or will only stay on for about 60 or so seconds and goes out. When it does come on properly it tends to stay on until I switch it off and back on. Anyone got any ideas why?
AlanM
Was there not someone with a similar problem recently, turned out to be a bad earth?
dangerous brain
Yeah I generally look in this direction but the things will switch on and stay on they don't flicker when they are on. I don't move anything for them to come on either. I think I will start transposing parts until I get the other side to repeat the problem. AlanM
Good Luck, but I would redo the earths first, unless you are certain they are good
carl0s
Are you drawing power from the OEM headlight loom? Or directly from the battery (via a relay harness)? If the former, I would try the latter.

dangerous brain
Nope I've sussed it now its the ballast box is nadged. It only puts out 4 volts at times which means its not exciting basically. I swapped it sides to see if its a bad earth but nope its the box. Anyone know if the ballast box is replaceable or will I have to replace the whole setup? Its a sun one??
