cntt
anyone ever got 18x8 all around??? the reason I want to know is because - I was ringing around for wheels and 2 places gave me the same make and model with 18x8 all round. they ask me what I looking for and what car is it for, so I told them what style I what, and its a 1994 mkiv supra. they came back with that, I asked them isn't they suppose to be 18x 9 on the rear, and they told me thats what they have listed for the 94 supra. should I get them? anyone got wheels that size on? do they look right? cheers
TrickTT
I think 18 x 8 would be for the mk iii. The mk iv needs a wider rear, 9" minimum.
Daston
yeah your going to want fatter rubber for the rear UK spec wheels were 8.5" front 9.5" rear I think (could be totally wrong there)
Havard
I have got 18 x 8.5 all round at the moment! Mine is a NA too. I would have thought that the rears would have been wider but mine looks ok for m the back. I know this will have been asked before and I will do a search but how wide a tyre can you get on an 8.5" wheel? H.
garethr
....how wide a tyre can you get on an 8.5" wheel? There's an "ideal rim-width calculator" on this page http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible.html Some of the tyre companies have minimum / recommended / maximum rim widths on their web sites -- Kumho and Cooper have, I think. Supragaz
Got 245/35/18 on front and 275/35/18 on rear I think. I have always been advised that the Supra needs wider wheels/tyres on rear.
