Havard
Found out today that the company I left 9 months ago has gone bust!! Although I didn't leave on good terms with two of the three directors, the MD was a great guy!! Basically I was the Sales Manager and I brought them a shit load of work in the three and a half years I was there but after a while I started asking questions about where the money was going. We always seemed to be on our arse. I eventually pointed the finger at the FD as he was very protective about the accounts.!! They have lost a massive amount of money since I left and I wonder if the fraud squad will be involved at some point! Thing is they still owe me £3500 in unpaid pension contributions. The receivers have come in today, is there any chance I'll get my money or should I bend over and take it? I have heard that the government may pay out as it was pension money?? H. flukey-lukey
Ouch £3500 is a lot of money to walk away from. I don't know anything about these kinds of situations, but I know I'd be trying my hardest to get hold of that cash!

They sent me a cheque for £1750 a few weeks ago but it bounced like afat birds boobs!! If I ever get my hands on that FD I will install double glazing in that Cnut!! H. Havard
Not always mate! ( depends on creditor terms) My old company had hardly an assets when it folded. The cars were leased, building rented and not a lot else worth selling! I am going to get some advice about claiming it back from the Government. If noit I have just lost £3500!! Bummer!! H. hogmaw
Look on the positive side, at least you got out BEFORE they went bust. They could have had your last months wages as well
Havard
Look on the positive side, at least you got out BEFORE they went bust. They could have had your last months wages as well Good point!! I left after a big row with the Financial Director. It is difficult to carry on working at a place after you have accused your boss of having his hand in the till!! I knew that if i worked a month and they went bust it could potentially be three months before I got another pay cheque. I am just a bit upset that all my hard work was wasted in the end and I had a strong attachment with them as a customer before I joined them. I always thought I would be the one that saved them and we'd all live happily ever after. H.

I mainly looked after the water booster side of things like high rise blocks and apartment complexes. Basically anywhere where the mains water can't get to fast enough or reliably enough. They were only a small company doing about 1.2 million a year. Aparently they have lost 300k since I left, which takes some doing in 10 months!! H. Matt _Aero top_
we have single orders with contract values of millions so sounds like its not related . we had a recent contract to supply and fit 3 hoists in a nickle mine in canada worth 10 million on its own and the company managed to make a loss on that .... fuck knows how if you ask me theres abit of underhand dealing going off and a few sly backhanders going off behind clossed doors . sounds abit like what was happening at your old place
Havard
Yeah probably! The FD was as bent as a nine bob note. Thought he was a big time Charlie but didn't have the funds to back it up. All his mates had successful businesses. It sounds like he's been dipping into the company funds to keep up his lavish lifestyle. It sounds like he might go to jail if the receivers find a big black hole in the accounts. I have his home address. I'll be sending him some soap on a rope for his stint in chokey!! H. Havard
lol .... on another note mate hows the haunted house coming on anymore bumps in the night Nah mate! It has all gone a bit quiet on that front tbh. Rob Sheffield stayed here a few night after it happened. I bet he thought we were all loons. It seems to happen every 3 or 4 months or so! I have stopped short of getting "Most Haunted" yet!! H.

Havard
lol ..... probably a friendly ghost .... bet ya believe in em now don't ya ? I've always believed in some weird sh1t but not whilst it was happening in my own kitchen. I am sure there is a logical explaination though. The first incident last year was the most worrying as there was only me in the house at the time! H.
