Guest Wannabe
Looking to buy a supra. What sort of mpg do they give? Is there any difference between a manual and auto? Are N/A alot more efficient? Not really that bothered, I guess you don't buy a supra if your looking to save money on fuel, but am interested. Jake
Looking to buy a supra. What sort of mpg do they give? between 18 and 24mpg usually, depending on how they're driven Is there any difference between a manual and auto? In the manual you have to change gears yourself. (kidding) Are N/A alot more efficient? A bit, not much in it.
Guest Wannabe
LOL, I admit I am new, but I do know in a manual you change the gears yourself. I meant is there a difference in fuel economy between an auto and manual.
Jake
Sorry mate, I was just kidding. They reckon the auto is slightly worse on fuel. I've never have a stock TT manual so I couldn't say.

jamesmark
As stated by Jake with the fuel figures, if MPG is what your wanting in a car then do not consider a supra, walk away now as those figures will come down if you cane it all the time and if you increase the power. turbonut
hi Wannabe I have an NA, pretty standard apart from TRD decat and suspension changes. Was told by previous owners to expect around 280 miles from a full tank. Going to and from college - 85mile round trip, A roads and bit of motorway + traffic crawling can do the 85 miles on a quarter of a tank, but thats a steady 85ish on the clear straight bits. Heavy traffic sucks up the juice, as does taking it for a thrash. ....unless your out with a couple of turbo owners then just DONT look down at your fuel guage! tbh, you'll be loving it so much, fuel won't be an issue - the fun factor is imeasurable! NA's are cheap to buy now, another £5k ish would give you a single turbo conversion if you wanted to go down that route, as most of us are dreaming of Get a local NA owner to take you out tho' you'l luv it
supragold
I checked mine yesterday. The last tank I got 15mpg but I had been caining it I can get 25 if driving very steady. But who does that?
Mcgoo
I get a pretty consistant 18 - 22mpg. I drive it every day with a small amount of town driving and the rest is not hanging around on fast 'A' roads.
Sheefa
I thought mine was good but I burnt around 1/2 tank of fuel in about 30 mins the other day.
stylieee
i average 18 mpg with my UK tt manual. although the 6th gear is nice on the motorway where i must get at least 25mpg.
letmeshowyou
Since I changed my lambda sensor I'm averaging about 25mpg with a mixture of hard and leisurely driving. Previous to that it was about 12mpg!! Figures on my NA one when I had it were quite comparable (both auto)
