Here are some pics for you! Received it the other day.

It's a tight fit front front to back on mine as I have a Top Secret front bumper, Trial rear bumper and veilside arches. So it won't _quite_ go over the exhaust and a bit of the lip at the front sticks out. On a regular body kit I doubt you'd have that problem.

The material wasn't as thick as I thought it might be (gf had a cover for her MX5 which was almost like a leather jacket!).

However, should keep the rain out ... guess time will tell on that one.

i had one before although admittedly it was a cheap n 'will do the job for now' type BUT it didn't hug the underneith of the car very well n the slightest gust of wind sent it flying, i've looked at the pix but can anyone whos purchased one say what its like - does it hug the bottom of the bumpers etc fairly well??

i always imagined tailored to be quiete a snug fit, that looks a little baggy

Me too, looks like it could fit a Granada or an Escort van just as well as it does a Supra, more "draped over" that "fitted".

I want one that fits over things snugly so it doesn't have areas where gallons of water can gather or the wind can use as a sail.

Or is this hard to do with the outdoor ones for some reason?

That Aston one is quality.

Having previously had an outdoor cover I can say how annoying it is when they don't fit snugly. Mine constantly blew off the car in the wind and needed weighing down with bricks. The strap that went under the car was nigh on useless.

Also the supposedly waterproof cover made the paint nice and wet leaving nice marks when it dried out.

All in all I'm very cautious of these things now.

I was considering one of the indoor ones for in the garage but not too impressed with the fit in those pics:(

I wouldn't have the same issues with it taking off in high winds but it looks like I'd end up tripping over the excess material on those mirror parts when walking past it :D

Wonder if the cheaper indoor ones are a better fit?

Will give feedback on rain protection - once it's rained :-)

The fit is tight - especially on mine as non standard front and rear bumper.

Their are two straps that go under the car.

A little wind does sometimes get under the bonnet and lift it a bit. However, it hasn't come off yet (touch wood).

Question: is this lined so it doesnt scratch the paintwork if the wind sneaks underneath? Are the straps soft so they dont cut into the bodwork or, again, scratch??

sorry to be such a wuss but have heard they can do both over time.

cheers ;)

I don't really know how to describe the material, it's kind of a soft non-slip rubbery thing. Kind of liek material you might get to go under your army chair to stop it slipping on your wooden floor.

I must admit I was hoping it was going to be a bit more heavy weight with a definitive inside and outside skin to it. As I say the MX5 cover had a leather-esk exterior and a soft felt interior.

Don't have have the car with me here, but I think I recall the straps go underneath the vehicle, i.e. don't actually touch the side skirts (assuming no movement in bottom lip of cover which it does seem to fit snug there).
