stylieee
friend of mine had one as a company car for about a year. didnt have any problems with it, but i always though it seemed a bit cheaply made whenever i was in it... bit like being in a french car. martin_a
Funny inside. does look hearse like, especially in black. Perhaps that's why my Goth friends have got one with private Gothic reg plate on it too. Looks smart actually. m.
Conrad
They're hideous tbh honest Dave. My Mom (who has zero opinion on anything automotive) saw one once and commented on how horrible it was. Trust me dude, if it was ugly enough for my Mom to form opinion then it must be bad.
ManwithSupra
One of the worst looking cars in the world
Dave Haggas
Cheers guys!! I once test drove an AMC Pacer in black.Never bought it though. I had thought of getting a hearse.I looked on e-bay for one but to be honest they looked rubbish. I also looked at a black London cab, mileages too high though. I currently use an escort estate with lightly tinted windows. My job sees me travelling to places to repair damaged carbonfibre on race cars,so it has to be a dark colour, black or dark grey. A toolbox in the shape of a coffin in the back of a hearse tickles me! Must report that the wife didnt approve of that idea:( . Pt cruiser seems to be a sensible!! solution at the mo. Im looking at a dark grey one tomorrow morning. I hope I dont like it.

Guest GirlRacer!
If you have to get a Chrysler, get the Crossfire (Maybe not so good for carrying your tools but more fun I bet!)
ross
I did hear a while ago that they were ridiculously easy to break into. Hope thats changed since.
SimonB
I did hear a while ago that they were ridiculously easy to break into. Hope thats changed since. Well, there's a guy at work with one and every time I start my car anywhere within 100 feet of it the alarm goes off, so they've obviously gone the other way with that one! They do look amazingly like a London taxi.

Dave Haggas
Nobodys said anything about the Pacer I test drove, unless you think I have finally lost the plot. It really was a good one,but I bought a TR 8 instead.I wished I had got the Pacer as it was different and I think in the game of life, that is what it is all about? Hence the PT cruiser. Pig
PT Cruisers are not my cup of T. I think they look ok (poss a bit dated already) but drive like dogs. Even the big engine (2.4 petrol) is slow as anything. They also have a very"crappy" feel about them. None of this german design heavy doors! Test drive it, you will soon decide if you like it ok not, not heard much of them going wrong and i go into the garage every day!
Dave Haggas
Well thanks for your encouragement Jon! I do think you have missed the point a little, they are supposed to look dated,so that is a good sign really! Whats with you and zee jermans?
