mathew
me and my chinese mate were in the local kebab shop waiting for our food and got talkingto one of the guys working there that we knew. the topic of convo became the programme bo selecta and my mate, a bit drunk, was a bit loud. nothing abusive just loud. then a guy (in his 40s) told my mate to shut th fuck up and that he should be in a cantonese restaraunt and not a kebab shop. this rattled my mate a bit and a few words were exchnged. my mate sat back down and the guy approached him, to which looked as tho he was gona shake his hand, but grab his hand very harshly and threatened to snap him in half. that was it then. as they say when the 'see red' is what excatly happend to me. i just went in to a world of my own and stuck one on the guy just as he was about to hit my mate. it all got broken up in a matter of seconds but i was in such a state of mind that i felt like really hurting him. before anyone starts to think that i look for fights when drunk etc id like to point out that hat was the first fight iv ever had! what surprised me was a temper flared up in my which i never knew i had and to be honest it scared me a bit apologies for the long post but im pretty bored here
DaveK
I wouldn't say you specifically look for fights when drunk - but I think in general, voilence and anti-social behaviour becomes "more acceptable" when people are drunk. On the other hand - although we only have one half of the story - it does sound like the guy deserved it.
Gaz Walker
On the other hand - although we only have one half of the story - it does sound like the guy deserved it. Yep, kind of depends how hard you hit him too Gaz.
mathew
yeah i agree with your opinions there dave but bearing in mind iv been out almost every saturday for the last few years and never had a fight speaks for itself with regards to me and drunken violence
paul ashton
I know where you're comong from matey, had a similar experience on christmas eve in my local Kentucky.3 knobheads came in shouting their mouths off while i was waiting for my order, controlled myself for a while but then lost it,i could've killed them and told them to come outside but they declined, thank god,i would have killed them all.In the process of trying to control my temper,i'm not a violent person but certain things wind me up.P.S.I hadn't been drinking. DaveK
yeah i agree with your opinions there dave but bearing in mind iv been out almost every saturday for the last few years and never had a fight speaks for itself with regards to me and drunken violence I didn't actually mean specifically you. The other guys behaviour was probably due to drink and it escalates very easily from there.
paul ashton
Quite frightening, isn't it? Yes but if the world was as mellow as me there wouldn't be a problem.Just got to an age where i can't be arsed with mouthy dickhead teenagers. Mike B
Fighting is all well and good when the story ends well, but when it ends badly it can have serious concequences for the rest of your life. There is always someone bigger and meaner than you, and you can't tell by looking. I'm glad you let the steam out, but be careful! you pay your taxes - use the police! You only have to cough racial abuse these days and the guy will be in trouble. I have some mates that have come out of fights with handicaps for the rest of their lives... they have to give up a lot of things they enjoyed before just for the sake of a few beers and a schoolboy punchup. Saying that I know a lot of people who are highly traind in MMA and these guys fight for a living virtually (in the gym) when they fight on the street they just use subs to calm people down. sounds like you had little choice if he was about to hit your mate anyway.. Jake
I thought I was going to have a fight last night. We were in this pub and they called last orders at 11.50pm, I bought another drink at about 11.55. By the time I had got served and walked back to where we were sitting it was exactly midnight and they rang the bell for "Time Gentlemen please" At 12.04 this bouncer tells us to drink up and leave. I ignored him like you usually do but, no kidding, one minute later he was back and said "come on, time to go". He was quite rude with his attitude and butting into people's conversations. I was like "you're kidding, I've only just got this pint. You've got to give me time to drink it" He puffed himself up and said "No, you've got to leave now" So I said "You can fuck off mate, I'll leave when I'm ready not when you say so." ...and he did! He just walked away and tried his luck bullying somebody else. We left about 10mins later and he never said a word to us. Wanker.

Mike B
No Matey, I'm no fighter, lol , just, like many, live in a rough part of the world. I see a few of my mates do it here and there but my missus trains in one of the regions top MMA clubs; they train all the bouncers, so I get to hear all the stories. I also see a lot of my friends come a cropper trying to act the hardman with a few beers in them. One guy lost all hearing and balance in one ear. That's his surfing carrear screwed for the rest of his life.. I'd wear a motorcycle helmet in some of our kebab shops if I gould still put food in my mouth
