paulrenn
Hi guys If my plans come to fruition, I hope to be getting a Euro spec supra TT 6 speed in the next week or two. It has the (IMHO) anemic stock wheels, which will need to be addressed ASAP. So, what is the maximum wheel sizes that will fit for front and back? What are the common sizes that make tyre replacement more economical (relatively ? Any recommendations with URL or pictures so I can get a good impression of how the (silver) car will look? Finally, do we have any good contacts that can supply wheels and tyres at a discount to list members, and where are you wonderful people located? Cheers! Alex
5 stud 114.3 mm pattern, you'll need a +45mm offset to make sure you clear the brakes... getting the offset correct is usually the hard part. 17 to 19" 8-9" wide at the front and 9-11" at the rear. volkracing have alot of other Jap brands under them so are a good place to look. Blitz are always popular I'm going for some Advan or Siena wheels next. Tyres have been debated a lot have a search on them...my own oersonal preference list would be, Pirelli P-Zero-C Assimetrico Goodyear F1 Bridgstone S-02 (wear too fast to be top) Bridgstone S-03 (Harder replacement) Yokohama AVS Dunlop SP9000

Guest Mycroft
Quite right Eyefi, I append the following from the LSOC forum; Mike, take a front wheel off, put a flat edge on the hub plate (the interface between the wheel disc and the hub) measure the radius of the point where the caliper extends out beyond the interface and then measure the radius at this greatest projection. THIS IS NOT OFFSET THIS IS 'DISC PROJECTION'. To any all members of this club, to make this plain and simple. Buying 20 30 40 50 60 70 or 80 offset will NOT guarantee fitment of Supra Brakes, yet you COULD (by luck only) fit them with any of those! OFFFSET does not TELL you that they will fit! You can waste a bloody fortune thinking this! My Supra wheels are 50 offset, the same as Mikes Kahns, my car has no problems coping with Supra Brakes, Mikes could not be fitted at all. REMEMBER both are 50mm offsets. Disc Projection dictates everything.
eyefi
paul, ive been going thru the old "buying aftermarket wheels to fit over uk brakes" thing and its a bloody nightmare. trying to find the correct offset / width, front & bacl / brake clearance / looks good / good quality / in budget, is nearly impossible. but some do exist. try http://www.imagewheels.co.uk/ they will make u anything u want. come recommended by someone on this bbs and a friend of mine. they r in birmingham. there is alot more choice in japan. try http://www.takakaira.co.jp/ good luck... ps. at 170mm radius from the center of the hub u need at least 48mm clearance from the back of the hub to the back of the spoke. THIS IS ONLY A GUIDE (USE AT YR OWN RISK). the best way to know if they will fit is to try them on.
paulrenn
Thanks for the info, dudes! I'd like a few "I've used them and they work for sure over UK/Euro brakes" recommendations? I really think that a supplier would not be able to tell from his catalogues which will fit and which will not...so all the advice above is appreciated Guess the first hurdle is to get the car, so I'm off to phone the owner again to haggle the price Paul
