2JZ-GTE-IS200
update, the wire at the igniter doesnt work. i ended up using the coil feeds...works a treat, now i can see what RPM the engine is doing
JustGav
Why didn't you just use one of the RPM signal wires at the ECU side of things? Sorry. just read that you didn't use the stock ECU... never mind I'll go back to sleep
Wez
Doesnt the FCON Pro V plug into the stock loom so the pinout would be the same?
2JZ-GTE-IS200
the fcon v pro in mine is spliced into the is200 ecu loom The car is not a Supra the ecu output is 5v square wave, the aftermarket tachometers need to see 12v the adaptor senses voltage drop and converts the pulse to a readable signal at the tachometer. hence why i took the feed from the 12v ign feed to the coils in the end. gsportcars
Hi Mat, As far as I could tell the ignition live in the supra is a constant live and the coils are triggered through earth. Just wondering how you could get a feed for a tacho from a constant live??? Or am I talking through my derrier? Anyway at least you got it sorted. dandan
Only just spotted this thread and I may have been able to help by pointing you here.... http://supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=274118 Could you have used the green tach wire from the ignitor or has that already been conditioned to 5v?
