colsoop
There fine as long as you use them at angles to the paint from a bit of a distance, Point blank - head on isn't the way to go
merckx
Don't waste your money, we bought one and they're way too powerful to use on paintwork. I only use it for cleaning the path. I tried mine on the van with the proper wash detergent and it just wouldn't get it clean. The problem is that most of them use cold water which will never work. The ones that they use at filling stations are better as they use a lower pressure and hot soapy water. You can buy ones that can heat the water or use water from the hot tap, only worth getting if you can reduce the jet pressure. They're much more expensive than your standard pressure washer. Mas
there some going about £70ish, thought they might be good, so what sort of pressure Im looking at, is 200 BAR 1600 WATT any good? or is it still too powerful?
michael
If you want one just wait until the weather improves, B&Q etc will start doing the bargain ones again.
merckx
We bought a good one, the standard cold water type. They're crap, no good for cleaning cars.
Havard
I don't understand why people have these! They're shit! They either take all the paint off your alloys or fail to remove any dirt that is slightly greasy. Bucket, sponge, hosepipe to rinse. Easy Peasy!! H. Gerry
Not good for getting standard road dirt of vehicles, you need some sort of mechanical action, brush, sponge, cloth etc. They are good for inside wheel arches if you are careful, but they are better for patios, pig farms, dairies etc. If you are getting one, I'd spend as much as you can as the under £100.00 won't last for long. Karcher or Nilfisk-Alto are the best and spares availability is good. Remember to keep your receipt, you will probably need it ! As already mentioned, hot water helps lots, but you are looking at £1K plus for a reasonable one and a lot more for a god reliable one. I'm a main Karcher Industrial dealer but I still clean the car with a bucket & sponge ! Cheers G
