RedM
I wouldn't piss on him even if he was on fire. I wouldn't piss on him even if he was on fire and I really needed to pee. I wouldn't piss on him even if he was on fire and I really needed to pee and someone had a gun to my head and was ordering me to piss on him or get a bullet in the head. He makes me laugh though. Class One
He's a prize cock of the highest order but he makes good viewing. He is a twat... along with the rest of the so called motoring presenters. He is very stuck in his ways when it comes to motors, not always correct either. Clarkson along with the other two make Top Gear what it is and I enjoy it. He's full of sh*t, but it makes good entertainment I enjoy his newspaper column, I think he makes a good journalist. But then again I like prize co*ks with a dry sense of humour. He is without a doubt a bit of a c*ck But he does push the boundries... where would we be without Top Gear as we now know it!!! He epitimises everything a petrol head stands for without actually having any real knowledge... He's fun some times he is very close to the markm but he speaks his mind. i loved his comment about Jade. that was class. but some times he is just so fare behind in the times. but makes great tv. We should see if we can tickets for the show as a club. He has a sense of humour which is hard to get, he is also opinionated and arrogant as well. I quite like him, he is clearly passionate about cars and portrays that well when he produces his articles and on Top Gear. He is paid to offer his opinion on things, like it or loath it you'll still discuss it and thats all that matters to him and his the men in charge. Clarkson is a cock. He's an arrogant, opinionated, self centred, ego-centric, car-ignorant, arrogant (did I say arrogant already?) twat who I would probably hate with a vengeance if I ever met him face-to-face. But as a presenter he's an absolute legend and worth every penny the Beeb pay him. I met him and had a chat with him and he seemed like a nice guy. Not quite so arrogant in the flesh. There is a reason that he is the way he is. Can anyone guess what it is?

Class One
Is he from Yorkshire by any chance? And the prize goes to He lives in Oxford? Gaz. Say what you like about Oxford....it's a shit hole when you see behind the facade. And anyway I'm from the other side of the border from you. And I live in the Cotswolds. He has crawled up his own anus ? Aye, that as well.
ivan
So are you claiming that Yorkshiremen are "arrogant, opinionated, self centred, ego-centric, car-ignorant, arrogant (did I say arrogant already?) twats" then Doug?
Charlotte
I never knew that. Typical Yorkshire bloke who has moved to the big smoke and obtained a southern accent.
rik
I think he's a breath of fresh air in todays pc gone mad society. He's a straight shooter, speaks his mind, something i'll respect from anybody. Sure he gets on your tits a bit sometimes, when he gets a chip on his shoulder about something he's like a terrier and wont let go. I think it's great that he doesn't give a s**t about who offends or upsets. You need people like him rocking the boat

KaoriFan
hmm, have to say i am in two minds regarding Clarkson. on the one hand, when they did the BBC2 series on 'Great Britons' he appeared in the Brunel episode, i thought he was just being a presenter, but the credits rolled and he wrote the episode as well, it was actually an excellent episode, probably the best. but he wasn't acting a plonker there. i haven't read anything by him so can't comment, but i expect he is a good read. As for Top Gear and his style, it is different that i will say. maybe he should have a chatshow on TV that would be worth watching. but on Top Gear, he is a complete idiot, why employ someone who cannot drive safely on the public highway. The show should be about cars and not the presenters, and the stunts they pull are just tiring now. we can all burn up the roads like he does, its not a case of him acting like 'mine is bigger than yours' just because he is driving the latest supercar. can't forget him on some A road, he is driving the latest merc (mclaren/mercedes?), anyway he over takes one car, then two, then three, then he does 4 cars (with caravan at front, no clear view, and then finds car coming towards him. if that was anyone else we would condemn him as a fool. as a person/personality, he is fine, i like him, but as a presenter of Top Gear i want to see cars both supercars and visit motor museums/collections the public don't see (aka Nick Mason), not them acting the way they do. as for him speaking his mind, would he do that if actually confronted by someone who would give it back/ hit him. i wonder. TV and print is a great safety blanket. edited: can't vote, 50% he is ok, 50% total idiot.
Jspec Germany
Respect for expressing his opinion, even though it's wrong and so bias nobody believes what he says most of the time. He's my least favorite on the show. On second thought, I don't like him. His opinion is the exact opposite of mine most of the time. Thank god for May and Hammond. Alas, without him, how fun would the show be?
michael
i haven't read anything by him so can't comment, but i expect he is a good read. I've read 3 of his books, big writing, a few pictures and fairly light on content, mainly just a collection of his opinions written in his usual style. Entertaining enough, holiday books really I guess. He writes for The Times, have a read: http://driving.timesonline.co.uk/tol/life_and_style/driving/jeremy_clarkson/ As for Top Gear and his style, it is different that i will say. maybe he should have a chatshow on TV that would be worth watching. He had a chat show, it was stupid, stole ideas from all over the place, only seemed to feature other chat show hosts as guests and got cancelled. I still watched it though
Chewie
It's all an act and it's certainly got some of you lot going. A great PR exercise that he makes a living from. No doubt all the things he says and does are controversial but it's great viewing. Big Brother would n't be the same if they filled it full of 'normal' people who played as a team. And Wife Swap would be like a yawnful soap if the families were similar. I've met the guy a few times and he's very articulate, extremely funny and intelligent. He's not at all stuck up and if any of you are lucky enough to be in the Top Gear audience, you'll find him approachable and ever ready to give you the time of the day. And he doesn't hate yanks! He spent quite abit of time yakking to my mate's American girlfriend about the place. The Brunel documentary and his story of the Victoria Cross were some of the best things he's done. Bakerboy
He's someone that's not afraid to be himself, unlike so many under-the-thumb weak ass men these days. I like the bloke. - Is it me, or do the poll results contradict the forum posts???
