DaveK
Can't see the point in Sky TBH. Apart from absolutely despising the Murdoch scummers with every fibre of my being I can't see much point to it. You can download new series from US torrents before they even reach these shores or buy DVD boxsets. Plus, with a boxset, you don't get ad breaks or all that logo shite on the screen and you watch them when you want to. I wouldn't be surprised if Sky put up their subscriber rates midway though a season of AN Other popular US series. You're fools to yourselves. Well, I prefer to watch the shows legally which rules out torrents. And I have yet to see a series that would tempt me to shell out on a whole box set. Personally, I think 99% of the stuff on TV is crap - even across all sky channels. But I like having a larger selection of crap to watch and at the end of the day - whatever people say about cost - the cost of Sky is negligible compared to my total monthly outgoings. Branners
just finished browsing through the 'on-demand' stuff and low and behold, every episode of the new Top Gear series FOR FREE. Im watching the one I missed with the Veyron right now. and I can fast forward the crap bits and pause it so I can have a wee wee. So thats good news. Its hiding in TV Picks - BBC Series I beleive..but if its not then keep hunting, its all there somewhere. JB
PJ
I called and cancelled my TV & phone package, mainly due to the fact that I only ever really watch it for Sky One, the rest I can get on my TV's built in freeview receiver. They processed the cancellation for me and kindly upgraded my BB to 10mb for the price of 4mb.
Branners
well Sky one and two plus travel and news has now been removed from my package. Time to give Virgin Media a call to discuss how they are going to reimburse me... JB

JB I called them this morning and was basically told 'tough', its in the T&C's that they can remove channels form the packages with no prior notice. PM'd Todd and he's going to sort me out a free sky+ box next week
Sheefa
We went over the Sky Plus, with the Phone package recently. Still have Virgin internet. NTL (Virgin) or whoever bloody suck. SKY have been near perfect on all occasions.
Pabs
I'm p*ssed that I lost Sky 1/2 at 12:00am this morning, but I can hardly moan. The cost is "negligable" (spelling?) for me anyway
Homer
Got Sky installed today (Thanks again Todd), can't beleive I stuck with NTL TV for so long, Sky+ is bloody great! Plus the TV guide actually work without huuuuuge delays and it hasn't frozen once yet. Wish I'd swapped when Sky+ came out. Only complaint is the box itself it rather noisy (emits a high pitched hum), the guys coming back tomorrow with a new one.
Branners
The on thing I would miss from NTL is the BACK button so you can swap between the channel you are on and the one you last visited. Does Sky+ have that feature? JB
MONKEYmark
you can get cable chipped now.your life wont collapse not seeing the simpsons or sky news lol.some good programs on sky and the menus are quick. that new discovery turbo chan is pretty good to watch.there are tons of channels to watch.loads of movie channels. i like ntl for the phone and broadband. mate lee had the sky broadband and said it was rubbish.i do like all the varied chans on sky.wonder if richard branson will hit back with something to compete.he seems to know what he is doing. Does Sky+ have that feature? JB There doesn't appear to be an option to do that, not that I noticed it on NTL The nice thing about Sky plus is you can preplan your TV, rather than be directed by the TV schedule. Still keeping the broadband and phone from NTL, no way would I switch those to Sky/BT.
JamesG
I stayed on NTL/Virgin, but I gave them a ring just before Sky One disappeared, and threatened to cancel. They dropped my monthly bill from 56 quid/month to 35 quid/month and gave me free evening and weekend calls too. Job done
