Jake
Anyone seen it? I only got round to seeing this today. Great movie, really enjoyed it. Christian Bale is excellent and Scarlett Johansson is quite easy on the eye too. I don't usually like Michael Caine but he was good in this. The plot is brilliant, I thought. (Please don't mention anything that would spoil it for folks that haven't seen The Prestige yet)
RedM
I thought the book was better. It's still a good film though. I'm a big fan of Christian Bale. He's going to get an Oscar soon.

RedM
Christian Bale rocks.. him in American Psyco - one of my fave films! He was Oscar winner by miles the year that The Machinist was eligible. Not even on the short-list though.
Jake
Oh CB is the same guy that was the skinny guy in The Machinist? I didn't realize that. That was also a good film.
RedM
Oh CB is the same guy that was the skinny guy in The Machinist? I didn't realize that. That was also a good film. It was indeed him. I think I posted an article about him and how he lost all that weight (method acting and then some) and then bulked up for Batman Begins. He's also Welsh, you know. Still a great actor despite a natural handicap.

RedM
Yes, he was in EotS too. In that pic, doesn't Spielberg look like a cross between Brad Pitt and Johnny Knoxville of Jackass fame?

RedM
That is one weird film! Have you read the book. Even weirder and more violent. Actually it's only one of two books that I've actually not enjoyed reading despite being well written etc.
