Fish
Hey guys, I've been offered an oppotunity to move and work in Yorkshire but do not really know the areas too well. I would appreciate any advice on areas to consider living - I have a young family so ideally a small village with good local schools but not too far from a main town for shops and the like. Some good driving roads would be nice too Cheers for your help.

sipstrassi
York! Close to Leeds for posh shopping. Coast is only 30mins away. Moors even closer - the road to Whitby is brilliant. Only problem is the bloody tourists.

flukey-lukey
York and Harrogate are posh areas, expensive houses. They aren't the 'real' Yorkshire Come and live in the good old ex mining town of Barnsley, its where the proper folk live and the lager tastes yummy!
