jjgage
Have got an issue with my indicators! The hazard lights work fine, all bulbs light up but when you indicate left or right nothing at all? They don't flash when i lock/unlock the car either?? There is no relay sound either using the indicator stalk but there is when you put the hazards on! whats going on?? wilfman
.....Hijack Mode On..... You think that was weird... Coming home the other night, everytime I locked both doors from the insde (using the button in the drivers door), my stereo would cut out the speakers and I had to power it off and on:) Hasn't happened since! .....Hijack Mode Off..... Timwildman
Normally they will cut into the indicator circuit somewhere, to add the flashing, when you arm/disarm, and when the alarm goes off. Not sure where, mine has been cut in the engine bay. could just be a loose connection, at the joint.
jjgage
it only just started doing it today though.....? how do you switch off hijack mode, i've got the toad alarm
JamesG
I vaguely remember something similar happens if the hazard light switch isn't plugged in properly behind the dashboard. Has the dash been off recently? James.

JamesG
ah ha. probably not that then I just remember when I didn't connect mine up, the hazards went on and the indicators didn't work. James.
jjgage
could have come loose i suppose, will have to check it. there is also no relay sound when you move the indicator stalk up and down? One other thing - i took my damaged bumper off yesterday and removed the indicators that were in it so none of the lights worked cos the circuit was broken - just wires the the indicator plugs connect in to - but i cant remember at what point the indicator stalk stopped working! this really is weird, just cant think what the problem could be! Branners
I had the same sort of problem on my Cavalier, I swapped out indicator relays and all sorts and eventually found out that the hazard button was pushing in but wasnt locking all the way in, give the hazard button a really good push and make sure it locks in to place and then try. outatime
Have you checked the fuse in the drivers footwell? The hazards and indicators are on seperate fuses.
jjgage
aha, did not know they were on separate fuses - the fuse for the hazards is in the main fuse box in the engine bay - that one is fine where abouts are the fuses in the footwell? cheers
