Supra-Dupra Posted February 20, 2007 Share Posted February 20, 2007 Ok so basically as you all know (or should know by now) all we have in the republic of ireland is 95ron unleaded fuel, ive ran 2 supras bpu on this fuel for a few years and i know a few guys with modded skyline gtr's also running on our fuel and normally without any probs so far..I know you guys swear 97 at an absolute minimum but we have no choice..Ok so what im getting at is if i want to go Single for the supra and having it mapped on 95 unleaded would it still run good yea? im guessing u cudnt run the same boost as with optimax so the power figures will be down a small bit? id love some info from one of the tuners on here and if they have any experience with mapping on normal unleaded? thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Jake Posted February 20, 2007 Share Posted February 20, 2007 You'll be limited to what boost you can run and the mapper will have to retard the timing compared to what he would set it to for SUL but basically, yeah it just needs mapping to suit the fuel you'll be using. Power output will be down more than the 'small bit' you mentioned though. I tried a few places and they said its hard come by here, there is a halfords recently open not far away, I havent tried them yet but hopefully they can help??
