I currently play off 16 and have just bought myself some mizuno blades, been playing about 3 years now and by summer im hoping to get my handicap down to 12. Anyone else play? Then I got to a stage where I wasn't getting any better, despite pro lessons and lots of trying. I got bored then and gave it up. I played for about 2 years twice a week and got down to a 4 handicap, haven't played for about 2 years now, my business going mental and starting a family have put an end to my golf for awhile! Max Headroom Posted February 19, 2007 Share Posted February 19, 2007 I use to play and I could get round the course in 180 shots and 50 to 60 golf balls because they all went in the rough , the trees, the water etc. Then 1 day I got better and started going round in 70 and using the same ball. Guest Bainesy36 Posted February 19, 2007 Share Posted February 19, 2007 I'm hoping to start playing again this year, but after a crash during a race meeting at Donnington park in August (High-sided in the wet!), I'm still struggling with a damaged wrist and can't swing the club properly yet! Used to play off 7 when I was 17, but have only played about a dozen times since in the last 11 years and would love to start up again now I've stopped the racing. Stuck three cards in and am now off 8. Golf day sounds like a cracking idea, perhaps wait for a little better weather as it would hack me off to pay £50ish to play in a swamp.
