paul_y3k
wwhilst investigating a rattle comnig from the passenger side of the engine bay, I found the the FPR was lose on it's brakets, I've tightened it up, but whilst doing so my fingers became a little damp. Had a sniff and it's defo pertol, am I ok to give the fittings a good tighten, or do i need to be careful here so's not to snap anything / over tighten ? and yep it goes without saying i shant be smoking or using a naked flame to illuminae what I'm doing. uk-rich
i'd try nipping up the unions, do not over tighten as you will strip the threads

Jake
But would a stock one cope with a single turbo setup ? I guess if it's running stock fuel pressure it'll be fine. Is it not the stock one you're having a problem with then?

If its an aeromotive as you say, then i would suggest using some PTFE paste (pipe dope) on the AN fittings.
paul_y3k
will that not risk contaminating the fuel though ?
bondango
as long as its a good PTFE based one it will be fine, i prefer it over the tape and it will stop the fittings becoming loose through vibration.
