Conrad Posted February 18, 2007 Share Posted February 18, 2007 My hard drive is completely full so I have to keep deleting stuff when I want to download anything. If I hover my cursor over my main system folder it says the folder contains 60.9GB See pic below: Then when I go into that folder the total of all of the files inside it is only about 39gb! The biggest being the My Documents folder which has 36gb in it. See Pic: Anyone know why this is happening? Angarak Posted February 18, 2007 Share Posted February 18, 2007 To 'recover' more of your hard drive space, try: :: Setting your Recycle Bin to 1% of the total hard drive space (its 10% by default) :: Setting your web browser(s) cache size to 10MB :: Delete all TEMP files (look for 'temp' folder). Found the bastard, it was a hidden folder called 'Local Settings' Inside that there was a Temp folder with 23GB of shit in it.
