If he's sold Porsche's - which are still pretty well built / reliable cars - then he's going to struggle to find something that's cheaper to run. Most £45K cars are going to cost a lot if they go wrong - and most will go wrong more than a Porsche. I have been considering a 993TT or a Ferrari 355. Yep he fancies a Ferrari at some point, but for exactly the same reasons hes holding back!
