Removing an steering wheel with airbag

The stock wheel from a '98 VVTi will fit my (non airbag) '93 RZ won't it?

If I was taking the steering wheel off a crashed '98 Supra to put onto my car what precations should I take so as not to trigger the airbag whilst I'm removing and refitting ther wheel?

thanks

Just make sure the battery is disconnected. You can remove airbags safely as long as the ignition is off, and not switched on during disconnection.

If you want to be ultra careful, unplug the airbag ecu from under the armrest of the centre console.

But really, all you need to do is make sure the ignition is fully off.

Ah good I was going to ask this too :)

Thanks Matt.

If you see me at the next meet with no head that'll be because I forgot to unplug the battery :D

By the way after you've taken the stock airbagged steering wheel off what is the best/safest way to store it?

Will it be OK near my cache of ammunition, fuel and WMD in the shed?

Justin:p
