That reminds me of the airbus test flights then I found this one

I use to fly into Kai Tak airport when I first came to HK, it always made for a very exciting landing. You'd fly following the line of the mountains, then hang a sharp right hand turn, skim VERY low over the buildings in Kowloon and then all you'd see outside the window was sea, as the runway was basically just a strip of land in HK harbour. A few planes didn't stop in time and went off the end of the runway into the harbour, which was always in your mind as the pilot started braking hard :scare:

I must have done nearly 50 landings at the old Kai Tak airport and remember dreading all of them :scared:
