I'm sure your a nice enough bloke I am just going by what I read there. I meant the fact that you rose to a lot of their fishing made you look like you had something to prove. I know who posted the engine mods statement, you didn't put him right though. BTW - The 'NA' comment, was nothing to do with me (see, I signed my statement 'lewis'. As the owner of 2 very high quality NA's known on the forum I highly rate the NA for what it is. Yeah i should of told him to shut up but hes just got his 1st car and now has a point to prove and if his sunny gti cant beat it he usually ends up saying his mates supra will! Jake Posted February 14, 2007 Share Posted February 14, 2007 I think Lewis might have been referring to this post : power to weight? that is tourque Razz your acting like a yank. they love bhp, they bolt on HUGE turbos that take a age to spool so think there good with 500bhp, it happens on loads of supras, thats why people with half the power but alot more tourqe beat them. tourque is what moves the car and makes it accelerate and makes the wheels go round, bhp is just the top end, torque is what gets you there. hence the expresion no replacement for displacement, all torque and no turbo lag so quicker accel. you could have a million bhp, it means nothing if you dont have the torque aka POWER to get you there. i know a lad with a supra running just 251 dyno tested horse power (just above standard) yet he keeps up with and beats supra TT's around tracks and the like, how? well tuned and lots of torque. got it yet? torque is power, bhp just sells cars. Most of the posts where made my a mate of mine trying to argue his point that his red gti was faster then went on my account to add to it (long story) Sorry confusing i know!! Why has the LSD and ABS been removed? yes on that forum we were having a laugh:) (all explaind above) as for the abs and lsd my car has never had them, to my very limited knowledge of my supra i dont think my model (the SZ) ever came with them.
