Chris Wilson
If so could you do me a quick favour please? To save me making gaskets or generally pratting about, could you post up the page showing the back of the water pump, where the rear housing attatches. There is an elbow on the rear housing, on a none race engine I suspect it houses the thermosta. i need th part number for the gasket there. Thanks. Mr2 MK1 or Corolla 1600 DOHC models should have this bit.
merckx
Is this the one? The main housing in the 1st pic bolts onto the side of the rear water pump housing. - see the 2nd pic. The gasket in the pic is 16325-63011
Chris Wilson
Thanks for looking, unfortunately this doesn't look like the same back plate unit. I have put a photo of mine at http://www.chriswilson.tv/pump.jpg bear in mind that two unions are blanked off on this, they may have gone to heater hoses or elsewhere. One is blanked with a plate (left) with two bolts, one is blanked by an internal plug (top) Thanks.

Chris Wilson
Damn, I hope I haven't put you out. None of those are the same, very odd, I will just make a couple of gaskets, it's proving a PITA to find the OE part number, thanks for all your trouble.
