60mm Electronic Boost Gauge

:p

So which one is the most "bang for buck"?

I'd suggest either the Blitz or GReddy gauges, as the HKS and Defi one are more expensive. Both these have similar features, the GReddy is a conventional looking gauge, the Blitz has a mirror screen when it's not illuminated (handy when you need to check your make up :p ).

19450 BLITZ MD Mirror Drive Electronic Boost - CF = £128 including postage

19455 BLITZ MD Mirror Drive Electronic Boost - White = £128 including postage

19481 BLITZ MD Mirror Drive Electronic Boost - Blue = £128 including postage

19482 BLITZ MD Mirror Drive Electronic Boost - Red = £128 including postage

16000802 GREDDY 60mm Boost Gauge - Electronic - Black = £128 including postage

16000801 GREDDY 60mm Boost Gauge - Electronic - White = £128 including postage

16000821 GREDDY 60mm Boost Gauge - Electronic - Silver =£132 including postage

I'm thinking of fitting the AEM boost gauge/controller to replace my Greddy 60mm Gauge. If I do this, then my gauge will be for sale, but not just yet. It's the same as the black one listed by Nic with peak hold etc.

How soon do you want one?

Cheers,

Nige.

Funnily enough I've just stumbled over the save AEM controller and I'm thinking the same! Found it for about £170 delivered too - I think I'd be silly not to go for it...

Unless anyone can tell me why I shouldn't go for the AEM boost gauge/controller on stock turbo's??

The AEM boost controller should work fine, it is quite a basic boost controller though. Some of the higher end boost controllers include gain feature, which helps increase spool up time of the turbos significantly.

Some of the best boost controllers also allow you to map the boost settings against speed, this means that you can maximise boost in all gears. Without this feature, you need to set the boost levels in the higher gears, but won't be able to get max boost in lower gears

Hmmm, I see where you are coming from there, tricky... half the price though, so I guess that's why...

So you only actually control the boost for the second turbo - is that right? Anyone got a fitting walkthrough for the AEM perchance?

I believe the AEM Controller is a 52mm fit and will fit where the clock is. I understand that it can be fitted where the vent is by leaving part of the vent there and only trimming out to 52mm if you'd prefer.

I was led to believe the AEM controller was quite highly regarded, especially for the price. Plenty of info on the site for them if you have a search.

I was going to replace the clock with it, problem is I have a facelift, and its got a bigger clock - damn Toyota!!

I have heard good things, and this thread is further concreting the arguement, I don't think I can turn it down for the price I can get it for.

Please tell where you can get it from for that price. I too have a facelift and the current Greddy gauge is fitted where the vent would have been. I'd have to fabricate something to fit it now as I like the clock! :)

Nige.
