Kranz
and leave the bag in for the whole time. Right to the end of the cup. Don't you find a trip to A&E each time you drink tea a pain in the ass.... or the throat to be more accurate!!
sdavies
Didn't a uni do a £4mil study into this and conclude that milk goes in first? Remember this from about 3 years ago. I always do water in, bag out, then milk, stir, drink I think the below makes loose reference to what you are referencing. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/connected/main.jhtml?xml=/connected/2003/06/27/ecntea25.xml&sSheet=/connected/2003/06/27/ixconn.html All to do with denaturing the proteins in milk!! Now didn't you all think about that when you were making your cup'o'tea?

RedM
Don't you find a trip to A&E each time you drink tea a pain in the ass.... or the throat to be more accurate!! No. The bag is kept at the bottom by the weight of the now mushy tea.
tbourner
Damn I fancy a cuppa! This sounds about right: http://www.nice-cuppa-tea.co.uk/formula.htm Plus if I have sugar it has to have max temperature, because as all the sugar-tea drinkers will know; it's similar to when someone makes you tea who doesn't have sugar - they seem to ignore the whole stirring process, and you end up with sweet sludge at the bottom of a sugarless cup of tea!!! Coffee I have the same amount of milk as water, but LOTS of coffee in it too. Can down the cup in one go then as it's so cool!! Milk obviously MUST go in last in this case. Babe
Mother went to finishing school... she always said that it's MIF - milk in first. However, this was when you used to make tea properly in a warmed teapot and used loose tea, then poured it into tea cups. Had something to do with the tea warming the milk, rather than the milk cooling the tea. Now she sticks a teabag in the mug like everyone else seems to then add the milk, coz you can't brew tea with milk in it.
