Bobbeh
You don't know whats staged and what isnt these days. Their prank kinda backfired big time if it was for real.. taught them a lesson I bet

Gary
I dont think i've ever laughed so much watching Top Gear! I was crying with laughter at a couple of bits, especially when they had to leave the garage asap, and James shouts out "jumpleads!"
tbourner
Twas funny. Not sure if the hick situation was real or not, don't think that woman would have acted that very well if they'd told her what was going on before filming!! michael
There are going to be complaints about the roadkill bit - will be interesting to see what Supraforums thinks of it too, the torrent should be up in an hour or so...
bromy
other half was kinda p!ssed about the cow scene (been vegetarian). I'm not veggie, but got to agree is was a bit disrespectful:( the rest was funny in parts though

I doubt they'll see the funny side seeing that it was quite anti-american throughout.
2JG
That had me in stitches! I was cringing when they had the writing on the cars, staged or not anything is possible in the deep south
Rayman
Cant see it being staged, if it was i think the cameras would have kept rolling. I dont think they expected that.
peter richards
waste of an hour tbh
DaveK
It's the first time I've watched it in a while. Was fairly amusing - but I can't think of a single car related fact I learned during the whole hour.

I agree, they must have known that by provoking the locals there would have been some reaction surely!

creative
hmmmm as entertainment goes... it was ok. As far as car programs go it was crap. Hope they get back on track with it and telling us about cars rather than jaunts across countries.
Supradoopa
That was one of the best episodes yet, the way Top Gear can pull off a show like that is unbelieavable. The camera work was amazing, the script just ran true flow... I don't think they were acting in that gas station somehow. I can't stop laughing... when the engine stopped in the gas station

Hope they get back on track with it and telling us about cars rather than jaunts across countries. Exactly. There almost need to be two top gears - the current ones, which are basically light entertainment and might have a couple of cars in the background - and another one that is actually about cars. Homer
Loved it! For those that complained, its an entertainment program now that centres around cars. Its not there to educate you, its there to make you laugh
