fishman
Just a quick one. Change of plan due to time, we are now going to be running 2 x Greddy T88s TO4Ds. Touch and go for May meet. Hope its all ready in time, and see you putting in some good times, its not exactly going to be slow with two T-88's
gregsupra4
RIGHT YOU LOT I NEED SOME HELP. DO I USE THE TWO GT45s OR DO I USE THE TWO T88s ??? HAVE BOTH SETS NOW AND CANNOT MAKE MY MIND UP. Ok back to the build: Autobox and convertor now machined blanced and ready to rock ( fook me the cost of the engineering work was more than I paid for the box) Engine, well what can I say still away being done, you would think that they were casting the bloodly thing from scratch but I do know that pining the main caps is a real arse of a job so I suppose it was bound to take time. Everything else is in place and ready to be put together so once the engine is back it will be full speed ahead. Will post up some more pics later and a bit of a write up on how they matched the box and convertor to the 2JZgte block. Right more in a bit:)
Pig
Whats the pro's and con's of each? When are you expecting to get full boost?
AndyT
Man Whoa. Serious work. Best of luck. I can do turbos at 20000 hp but you guys lose me every time. Lookin' forward to it. Don't forget to keep a smile on your face mate. Breathe deep....
Wez
Arent T88 old turbos these days, I would prob go with the 45s if I was that insane EDIT: are each turbo getting the same length runners and are you going to have a balance pipe between them? supradibbs
Glad to hear things are all on track mate cant wait to see it all done:)
Bobbeh
at Branners, I was thinking the same about 10 mins ago!
Class One
What's the difference in rpm for full boost between the two sets? WTF am I saying how would I know? Would the 45's be better for spool up and full boost lower down the range? Or the 88's for better outright power?
RobSheffield
Put the 2 45s on with the 2 88s as well, why not
terribleturner
One of each

fishman
aren't t-88's quite old now so they dont have the new technology, so they will be quite slow spooling...?
Flip
The nitrous will counteract the slow spooling won't it?
Gazboy
Do the GT45s give lower intake temps than the T88s? Will the GT's last longer?
fishman
The nitrous will counteract the slow spooling won't it? I would presume so aswell.....
gregsupra4
The nitrous will counteract the slow spooling won't it? Should do but will not have the gas kicking in until I hit 2nd. Also have to take into account that the car will be held on the trans brake at 5500 rpm just 500 rpm before stall, so both tubbies should be online at that point, and the redline will be at 8500 rpm mind you we will have to see where the power curve peaks in order to determine where will be the best shift points. So come on which turbos should I use ??????
Gamer
I would go with the 45's, less likely to have been done before.
