SUPRASUZUKI
If you just want a sandwich plate for fitting gauge sensors to try ebay, there are plenty listed on there. I haven't tried any so can't vouch for the quality though. Google sandwich plate or oil cooler, there are plenty of suppliers around. I bought a sensor housing to fit in the top hose off these people. Quick delivery, good part, no prob's. Still undecided on the sanwich plate for the oil sensors though. merckx
Still undecided on the sanwich plate for the oil sensors though. I was going to fit the sensor in the sump plug but I decided against it as the location is a little vulnerable.

steb9780
How are these made machined or forged?? I know the mating faces etc. will be machined, but I am thinking more towards the galleries. If machined I could make some if someone has dimensions etc.
SUPRASUZUKI
I drilled a sump bolt to take the temp sensor, but there didn't seem to be much metal left due to the sensor diameter being pretty big. Most are cast, with thread detail etc machined afterwards. I don't see any reason why you couldn't machine from solid.
terribleturner
Something i was thinking about doing on my rebuild and never did. Taken from SF. There are several places to tap your oil pressure, the simplest being the union bolt. If your car is a 98 then you already have a port, if not buy a 98' union bolt and swap yours out. If you don't know what a union bolt is then let me know and Ill shoot you a picture......... Pics of the oil pressure sending unit mounted to a 98 style union bolt? Sure.. here they are. The bolt that holds the oil cooler/filter housing is called the union bolt. The early year Supra's are just a solid bolt, but the 98' year union bolt has a pre tapped port for the factory oil pressure dummy light. SUPRASUZUKI
Yes, I've seen this on SF also. Solves the pressure side of things nicely. Not sure it helps with the temp sensor though?
merckx
Not sure it helps with the temp sensor though? Just what I was thinking , I can't imagine the oil will flow much in such a location. I might be wrong? Here's some pics of the union bolt. http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/oil_sensor_mod/index.html

Well the postion is after the block but before the filter, about 6/7inches from were you guys want to put the sensor using a sandwich plate. TBH i wont argue over 1/2 a degree Plus the union bolt will be cheaper than the plate too.
SUPRASUZUKI
No mate, what I meant was I can't see a temp sensor in the bolt, only a pressure sensor. If you could get a temp sensor in with the pressure sensor it'd work oh. (I think!)

RobSheffield
I have a Greddy one on mine, it fits well and doesnt leak, ideal if you have defi or greddy guages as (some) of the sensors are the same (oil temp needs adaptor for a defi)

SUPRASUZUKI
There's a Greddy on ebay at the moment I think + other makes. Just search on sandwich plate (funnily enough).

Here's some pics of the union bolt. http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/oil_sensor_mod/index.html If you take that union bolt approach, has anyone used a tee-piece to attach both a pressure and temperaure sensor at that point? Burna
I'll be fitting the oil pressure sensor in the lexus bolt mod and the oil temperature in the sump plug as per CW's advice http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showpost.php?p=437566&postcount=
