Is America ready for a black President?

I am not sure on this one, in a way skin colour should not come into it and my personel opinion is that most of the country do not care as long as the president is patriotic and good at running the country. A lot of the TV shows now show a black president anyway and dont think it phased anybody.

I'd feel sorry for him that's for sure, with the potential prejudices to deal with he'll also have some horrendous international "war on terror" disaster issues to take over. :sos:

Be like turning up for first day of work as a milkman but being presented with an empty milk float, 300 cows, 2000 empty bottles and a pair of gloves......... where dy'a start????

It's the american dream that anyone can succeed to be President, but in reality I think there are too many conservatives and right wing voters for it to happen yet. I hope he does get in though, if only to shut Morrissey up.

Has anyone been childish enough yet to comment that his name is quite similar to Osama?

Good, then I'm first. He'll get some flack from the press for that I'll bet

I couldn't care less what colour his skin is, although I think it can't help being an issue in the Hollywood style Election Campaigns modern politicians in America seem to have.

I'm more interested in the fact he seems to have a functioning brain, unlike the current chimp that's notionally in charge!

He's not ready yet, but he's one of the few that will compete with dare I say her name.... the former president Clinton. Either way, the country's hosed if a Democrat wins. Lets hope some other candidates present themselves.

So I guess it's going to be hosed. We solved that problem back in Summer 2007. Hose pipe ban. Raise it in the House of Representatives on your next R&R. :)
