I bought myself an Electric Heli for xmas.. got it out and after about 1 min of attempting to go over 2ft in the air and it all went Pete tong and took a rather hard landing and smashed part of the main rotor.... its now sat in my study awaiting the replacement parts :(

Complete pain in the ass but was a great 60sec lol!

need to get it fixed and flying again ;)

My girlfriends dad got one for his birthday yesterday..... so after charging the battery for 60 mins he decides it is time for a test flight. Bare in mind that he has just come back from the pub..... power up and the blades start spinning.... lift off.... straight into the net curtain. Everyone takes cover as a wave of plastic shrapnel is sprayed across the room.

so i would say it lasted 4 - 5 seconds.... lol a key lesson would be.. read the manual and dont drink prior to a test flight. :)

Ok guys, Flight time of..........

about 4 seconds. And when i mean flight time i don't mean taking off!.

I charged the battery and read the instructions. I then turned on the controller making sure the throttle was at its lowest etc. Plugged the battery in and waited for the gyro light to go green. Ok then.

As I then slowly accelerated the blades then just sort of jerked and went mental and twisted back on themselves. The rear blade didn't spin at all. And as i put the controller down the thing went absoloutly mental. I managed to grab it (Via my arm) as it was about to go through the TV and disconnect the battery. Its now gone back in the box until i can figure out why it reacts so weird without me hitting any of the controls.

normally when that happens it means there is a communication problems between transmitter and receiver, sometimes happens on my planes when using different handsets, the best way to learn how to fly is download realflight g2/g3 and see how you improve after a hour or 2,its definately a good learning curve.
