MG ZR more fun than the Supra

Well it was tonight.

Popped to the cashpoint in Vickis car, on the way back into the estate I thought it was time for a bit of snow fun. :)

No-one about, no cars, kids etc..

It's a sleepy weavey little road, so nice and slow, hard compacted snow - hand brake the turns to get the back end out, bit of throttle to keep me in the right direction... managed to drift through two bends sideways to land straight up onto the drive!

There's no way I'd have dared do that in the Supra. It's sometimes great fun jumping into a light little front wheeled car for a change.

I wanted to go do it again but Vick wouldn't let me, spoil sport! :(

I love my ZR :D

2.0 Litre Turbo (from Rover 820Ti), Air bag suspension, full Cadamuro bodykit, Recaro's, featured in Max Power twice, 5 page feature in Total MG magazine. Stereo puts out 144.9db. Reminds me of my younger days! sat in a garage in Dunstable for the last 2 years now gets ticked over every week though.

Runs a 14.9 quarter mile and has 210bhp it's like a go kart.

Gave up on it after killing 3 gearbox's and 2 driveshafts in space of 2 months

Here is few pics then. I know people will think it's bit chavvy... well I guess it is but meh

doesn't look too chavvy to me mate. only thing i'd change would be the lexus lights to be honest (a more subtle half white / half red cluster would be more classy)

Spot on, the kit is a bit fussy but those lights scream "PIKEY CHAV SCUM"

Speed bumps are fine, it lifts 5 inches up in the air in 2 seconds.

TBourner I think ZRUnleashed died about 2 years back now, new site was set up but no idea on the name.

As for MGZR still going strong I hear. I don't frequent the forums though.

Lex-arse lights only reason I got them was when ABC released 10 for sale in the UK so snapped them up then another company made an even uglier version.

Looks pretty smart, not as good as the Bad Boy 1.1 G-Reg "Gunmetal" (it actually had air pellet grooves in it) Fiesta I had when I was 17.

No pics I'm afraid but I know, I know, don't remind me..........it had a large 'SPORT' sticker across the front window. :(
