My car's a mess!!! They've recently relaid the roads round where I live, and it's really dusty! Not to mention having to drive everywhere at 15mph cos of all the stoney noises from under the car!!!

What do you guys do at meets then? Is it a stand around (in the rain usually) and chat about cars 'n' stuff type forum? Or is it a go in the pub, have a drink and forget the cars type forum?

I'm more up for the former as that's what I'm used to!

Yep, see you there.

My boy is about to get a jetwashing and then I'll be ready. I hope someone else knows where they are going, I haven't paid a blind bit of attention!

PS: the rain is happening tomorrow

What a cracking meet that was :D

Good to see everyone again, and for the first time for those I'd not met before. Had a right laugh :)

Except for perhaps the police incident :innocent:

............Oh, and the cheeky sod who put the for hire sign on the car - Keith  ;)

.......................Oh double bugger, and the HICAS light too :(

The venue was utterly superb, laying on free sarnies and nachos, opening up a room just for us, saying we should have parked and paraded on the grass, and giving us info on free nights each month where we can do it all again. It was a good location, easy to get too and a great attitude from the management :)

I've got a list of free nights I'll pop up in another thread, but I seriously think we should make this a regular (even me with my taxi :p)

Trig - zorst sounds  mate

Catch ya all next time!

Cheers dude, very impressed with your ride as well. Not bad for a taxi! :D ;)

Excellent venue for a meet. Someone should have a word with the pub and get our club name down for a monthly thing.

Very cool meet indeed.

PS Keith and Faye, was you both horny or something?? almost 100mph+ all the way home! Good blast tho ;) :)

Good to meet a couple of new faces, and to see the usual gang - its been a while. Hopefully not long till we meet again tho.

I know Gavin from the Fairmile already as I organised all the MG ZR club meets there. Graham apparently is the new 'meet man' as it were! So he's got my email address, and he's gonna send me the flyer for the 27th BBQ on soft copy so I'll post it up.

If you want me to tell him a date for 'regular' meets (one of the empty slots on the calandar - Saturdays?), then we get free entry to the BBQ as long as we tell them how many are going! (Already 39 from theMGZR club so we could beat that number I'm sure).

As for the meet, my first, lots of fun, great to meet you all, Police incident was scary but never mind!! I blame that stupid Puma thing with that stupid spoiler thing!!!

A3 was pretty much empty all the way back, took it slow though only about 90 leps all the way!

See you all on the 27th August then???

Great meet....

Brill place, and although not near :( it's A303 / M3 so nice blast :)

Nice to meet you all, liked the Liner !!

Fun on the A3, I thought we were ALL going to be pulled !

Gatso already had his "excuse" ready...

" I was driving carefully down the road (59 MPH) when a load of maniac cars which looked a little similar to mine went whizzing by !

By the look of them I thought they must be getting away from some sort of huge disaster (earthquake, huge fire, big bomb etc) so to be safe I thought I would tag onto the end of this column of very frightened drivers. When I saw the police car which overtook us, this confirmed my thoughts, as if the police were running away, it must be very bad"

"I thought it would be best to leave the main road to free it for emergency vehicles so took the very next exit"

"I then proceeded to the pub to calm my nerves at having to drive at more then my usual 59 MPH"

Your honour.....
